Deeksharambh 2024
Deeksharambh- 2024 was organized with an aim to assist new students adjust and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the institution, help them build bonds with other students and faculty members, and expose them to a sense of larger purpose and self exploration. It was a well planned event to educate the new entrants about the environment in Dolphin (PG) Institute, and connect them with the students and staff. Deeksharambh was held at two levels: Department and Institutional.
Students were familiarised with their department, Programme of study, laboratories, library, ICT facilities and other facilities,their mentor groups were also formed.Interactive sessions with their seniors were also conducted for bonding, in the presence of the faculty members. The seniors organized cultural and sports activities for them and welcomed them with open arms.
A trip to a landmark of the city was also organized for the students. The students visited ‘The Dehradun Zoo’.
At the Institutional level,Prof. (Dr.) Shailja Pant, Principal addressed the students andmade them aware about the institutional policies, processes, practices, culture and values. The students were briefed about the recently conferred autonomous status, A+ NAAC Accreditation, NEP, Research being undertaken in the Institute, outreach activities, co-curricular activities, various clubs and committees. Sh. V. K. Nagpal, Director (Admin) wished the students a fruitful experience during their course of study at the Institute. The students were introduced to Sh. Chanchal Goel, Chief Admission Officerwho assists and guide students seeking admission. Prof. (Dr.) Gyanendra Awasthi, Dean Academics briefed the students about the academics and also shared the expectations the Institute has from them. Prof. (Dr.) Versha Parcha, Dean Research explained the Research work being carried out in the Institute and also encouraged the students to develop an inclination towards research. Mr. Vipul Garg, Dean, Students Welfare explained about the Human Values and Community Outreach Activities being carried out by the Institute. Dr. Ashok Kumar, Chief Proctor explained about the rules and regulations of the institute. Also being Head of Dolphin Industry Interface Cell he explained about the activities being carried out by the cell. Sh. M.S. Rawat, Controller of Examinations briefed the students about examination pattern. Dr. Beena Joshi Bhatt, Head Women Empowerment Cell talked on gender equity. Dr. K.P. Tripathi, Head, Students Grievance Redressal Committee assured the students about the timely redressal of their grievances. Dr. Sandhya Goswami, Head, SC, ST, OBC Committee explained the role of the committee in assisting the students in their day to day life at the Institute. Sh. Sudhir Bharti, Sr. Administrative Officer & Hostel Incharge explained about the hostel rules to the students. Sh. Ganesh Tiwari, Sr. Finance Officer explained about the fee structure and the time for paying the fees. Sh. Sujith TK made the students aware of the working of the ERP. Sh. N.K. Joshi, Sports Officer gave a brief about the sports activities being carried out in the Institute. Mrs. Jyoti Johar Art & Craft Teacher, Mr. Yajat Panchal, Music Teacher, Mr. Sahaj Sangal, Dance Teacher motivated the students to join them as participation in any of these are a big stress buster.
Chairman, Sh. Arvind Gupta blessed the students and assured them that the Institute shall leave no stone unturned to shape their career and make them worthy citizens of our nation.
