– 42 BSc 3rd year (6th semester) students under Prof.Sas Biswas, Dr. Tahir Nazeer and Dr. Anil Uniyal made on-site 1 to 1 interaction with the forestry personnel of Raipur Range, Mussoorie Forest Division, Dehradun on Indian Forest and Wildlife Acts and their Management strategies:
– Forest Range office has high tech devices to nab the miscreants.
– Penalty to the miscreant is inclusive of all means used by him in commitment.
– Monkeys caught to check upon menace from a campus of govt institute (name of Institute & photo shoot of the process involved not permitted for obvious reasons) are meant for translocation to Shiwalik range within less than 24 hrs after providing them with food and water following Wildlife Act.
# Research Initiative: Prof.Sas Biswas guided the forestry students to carry out, sue generis pyrophytic succession in sal forests devastated by the forest fire in previous years. Dolphinite student foresters are to make “mulch bullet of propagules” of species to revegetate the forest from the post-fire impacts surgically.
