Highlights
Once a marketting hub during 1980-1990 with forest produce has now converted into houses with servicemen and local business
# Fodder and fruit yielding trees with local landraces of turmeric, garlic, soybean, turmeric, vegetables are preferred over hybrid varieties.
# Still maintains common land for growing pulses, extraction of fodder grass
# Since 2016 Department of Forestry,Dolphin Institute has been carrying out activities with student research initiative in different field oriented subjects such as rangeland, ethnobiology, agroforestry, PRAs etc
