National workshop on (4th and 5th October 2019)
National workshop on “Indian Designed Cost effective Raman and Fluorescence Spectroscopy”Jointly organized by: Dolphin (PG) Institute, Dehra Dun &RI Instrument & Innovation India, Haldwani (Uttarakhand) –
Raman and Fluorescence Spectroscopy find a very important place in modern era of spectral techniques and from time to time new innovations are being made to make these techniques very cost effective & approachable. Since the Spectrophotometer is a very expensive instrument the students never have an opportunity to get an exposure to work on it. Though, the indigenous development of upper end scientific analytical instruments in India has always been a big challenge. RI Instruments & Innovation India’s team has proved that with cohesive team work, this is very much possible.RIMS Modular Spectroscopic work station is unique of its kind and first time introduced by RI Instruments and Innovation India to the world. This machine is capable of measuring parameters like Raman Fluorescence along with absorbance, transmittance, reflectance, irradiance, CRI, spectro electrochemistry, etc. Therefore, It is a unique experience of H-o-T for the students under the guidance of the scientists and engineers from RI Instruments & Innovations India and our senior faculty on the indigenously developed Spectrophotometer by the team of engineers from RI Instruments & Innovation India.
The two days workshop was inaugurated today morning in the presence of Dr. DK Aswal,
Director CSIR- National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, Dr Vimal Kothiyal, ADG ICFRE, Dr. Rajendra P Joshi, CEO, RI Instrument & Innovation India,
Haldwani (Uttarakhand), management, faculty, guests and about 200 participants from various Universities, colleges, GOI & State Organizations. Its first ever workshop conducted in Uttarakhand on this subject. The Workshop is partly funded by UCOST under “Promoting Indigenous people and Technology Programme”.
