Webinar on ‘Fibromyalgia’ on 27th May 2021
Department of Physiotherapy is going to Organise a webinar on ‘Fibromyalgia’ on 27/5/2021. Fibromyalgia is a common and chronic syndrome that causes bodily pain and mental distress. Fibromyalgia causes widespread pain, fatigue, and other types of discomfort.
The cause is unknown, but risk factors include traumatic injury, rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune disorders, such as lupus, and genetic factors.
There is no definitive diagnostic test currently available to determine the presence of fibromyalgia. A diagnosis is generally made based upon the results of a physical examination and ruling out other similar conditions.
The most effective treatment is a combination of education, stress reduction, exercise, and medication.
