Horticulture has promises for the welfare and health of the society and nation as well. It has been recognized as one of the most important enterprises for improving the economy of nation in general, and of hill region in particular, besides generating self employment.
It is an extremely diversified field with nearly unlimited career opportunities. Horticulturists play a vital role in the cultivation of fruit crops, flowers and vegetables. The scope deepens wide with the cut flowers for export to different countries. In addition, post harvest handling of the fruits, vegetables and flowers provide an opportunity for value addition of the horticultural produce. A professional in this field can opt career as Floriculturist, Olericulturist or Pomologist.

Other Charges
• Registration Fee: Rs. 15,000/-
• Security: Rs. 2,500/- (refundable after successful completion of the course)
• Examination Fee: As prescribed by University, Internal and Practical Exam Fee Rs.2500/-
• Hostel Fee: Rs 35,000/- p.a. (vacating hostel not allowed in middle of the academic session under any circumstances). Mess Fee Rs 35,000/-p.a.
• Laundry charges: Rs.400/- per month+GST (to be paid half yearly)
• Hospital Training Fee :Rs 5,000/-p.a.(only for Paramedical courses)
• Project Fee : Rs.7,000/- for dissertation of post graduate students to be paid at the beginning of fourth semester.

1. All fee are non-refundable
2. Schedule for tuition fee deposition: 1st Instalment - 7th June, 2nd Instalment - 7th December
3. No separate intimation / reminder will be sent for depositing the fee; any delay in depositing fee would carry a late fee fine.
4. Students must read rules & regulations carefully so as to fully acquaint themselves before taking admission.
5. Terms and condition indicated in admission hand book shall be strictly applicable and no relaxation shall be entertained.
6. Project fee for dissertation of post graduate students: Rs. 7000/- to be paid at the time of joining the fourth semester.
7. All disputes are subject to Dehradun jurisdiction only, irrespective of place of residence of the applicant and the place from where the application is sought.
