Bachelor’s degree in science/ arts/ commerce from any recognized university with 50% marks in aggregate for general , 45% marks for O.B.C / S.C. and S.T. candidates, and 55% marks for Engineering and Management graduates . Admissions are given on merit through entrance test and rules framed by the state Govt., H.N.B. Garhwal Univ. and N.C.T.E.
Course contents: 1st semester: Childhood and growing up; Contemporary India And Education; Language across the curriculum; Understanding Disciplines and Subjects; Practicum (Reading and Reflecting on Texts).
2nd Semester: Learning and Teaching; Assessment Or Learning; Pedagogy of Commerce, Mathematics, Civics, History, Economics, Geography, Home Science, Arts, Social Study, Computer Science, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Physical Science, Biological Science.3rd Semester: 18 weeks internship, 4th Semester: Gender, School and Society; Knowledge And Curriculum; Creating An Inclusive School; Environmental Education.
Organization and management of various curricular and co-curricular activities such as seminar, workshop, eco-club, science-club, humanities-club, scout and guide, physical education, art and craft, exhibition, fair, excursion, etc and preparation of teaching aids, special emphasis on the development of teaching skills including communication skills.
