International Yoga Day
The Dolphin (PG) Institute of Biomedical and Natural Sciences in Manduwala, Dehradun, joined the global celebration of International Yoga Day on June 21, 2023. A total of 123 enthusiastic students participated in the event. The celebration was organized with the aim of promoting the practice of yoga and creating awareness about its numerous benefits. The event witnessed the presence of Sh. Vipul Garg, the Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW), and renowned yoga trainer Ms. Kiran Chaudhary. Dr. Virender Kumar, Mr. Sudhir Bharati, SAO, and others.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by Sh. Vipul Garg. He expressed his gratitude to all the participants and guests for their presence and emphasized the importance of yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Sh. Vipul Garg highlighted the significance of International Yoga Day as an opportunity to unite people from diverse backgrounds through the practice of yoga.
Following the welcoming address, Ms. Kiran Chaudhary, a seasoned yoga trainer, took the stage. She provided valuable insights into various yoga forms and their benefits. Ms. Chaudhary emphasized the importance of correct posture and breathing techniques while performing yoga asanas. She guided the students through a series of yoga poses, allowing them to experience the physical and mental harmony that yoga brings.
The participating students enthusiastically followed Ms. Chaudhary’s instructions and actively engaged in practicing the different yoga forms demonstrated. From traditional asanas to dynamic flows, the students experienced a holistic approach to yoga, focusing on flexibility, strength, and mindfulness.
The teaching and non teaching staff members were present throughout the event, showing their support for the promotion of yoga among students. Their presence added prestige and encouragement to the participants.
To conclude the event, Sh. Vipul Garg delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks. He expressed his gratitude to all the participants for their active involvement and dedication in embracing yoga.
