National Teacher’s Day Celebrations
National Teacher’s Day in India is observed on 5th September every year. It is a very important and special day in the lives of teachers and students. This day commemorates the Birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvappalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice-President and Second President of India. He was always admired and respected by his students at Presidency College, Chennai and the University of Calcutta where he taught Philosophy. Teacher’s Day was celebrated with vigour and zeal at Dolphin (PG) Institute. The celebrations started with the address of Dr. Shailja Pant, Principal. She congratulated the faculty members on the occasion. The efforts put in by the faculty to be a teacher, mentor, guide and a friend of the students were appreciated by her. The message of the Chairman Sh. Arvind Gupta was also read out. Through his message Sir conveyed his wishes to one and all and hoped that the teachers shall continue to motivate the students to achieve their goals in life. Dr. G. N. Sinha, Dr. Aasheesh Raturi, Dr. C.S. Pandey, Mr. Anuj Gupta, Dr. Kanika Issar also shared their views by reciting poems, Shlokas on the occasion. The faculty members also enjoyed mouth watering and delicious snacks. They were also gifted a token of gratitude by the Management of the Institute. The students from various departments also celebrated the day with much enthusiasm to make the day even more memorable for their teachers.
